[DSDS] Saturday, Oct 19, 7-11pm at Vámonos, Costumes Encouraged!
Save the Date for our Upcoming Queer Potluck + Sq Dance, Spooky Season Edition
WOW Sunday was just fabulous! It felt like confirmation that we’re doing something right around here and the May dance wasn’t just a fluke. We are finding our groove here and it’s thanks to everyone involved! Big fat rainbows all over the place!! Follow us on Instagram to see photos and video from the event and tag us @detroitsquaredance
For our next dance we are tweaking the formula just a wee bit and going back to a Saturday night party time, so mark your calendars and start working on your costumes now so you can come out and strut your stuff in October. Fancy costumes in the spirit of Halloween are highly encouraged. We may even have a raffle, so come early and we’ll have free raffle tickets for the first 20 people through the door.

"Why a queer square dance and not just a square dance?" We use gender inclusive language and we don't enforce any dress codes or other gender norms. We promote a culture of acceptance and discourage homophobia at our events. Everyone is welcome to attend, except for bigots and haters!
Please note: We are creating a queer space where we can come together and celebrate each other’s unique expressions and experiences in community. Bring your open and welcoming hearts and keep respect and kindness in mind as you may see people expressing themselves freely!
